About Hue Help
Hue Help was founded in July 2006 and was registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales in December 2006. Hue Help was established as a grassroots organisation to tackle challenges of health, education and safety for children in Thua Thien Hue province. Our goal is to improve health, education and future prospects for disadvantaged children in Vietnam. Since our establishment, we have developed in both scale and capacity, and are now implementing programs in many cities and provinces in Vietnam, coordinating with local and national authorities.
We want local people to be the driving force in our activities in Vietnam. We use local experts and apply participatory approaches to ensure that beneficiaries are at the heart of our program’s development.
We are a non-profit, non-political and non-religious organisation. We rely on the generous support of donors to ensure we can continue to make a difference to the lives of children in Vietnam.
What we do
Swimming For Safety
Drowning is the leading cause of death in children in Vietnam. Over 2,000 children a year drown in Vietnam. Drowning kills more children than any single disease or infection – more than Malaria, TB, HIV/AIDS, Dengue and malnutrition – combined.
Swimming for Safety trains school teachers as swimming teachers, who then go on to train children in survival swimming and water safety awareness.
We’ve trained over 600 teachers who have reached over 16,000 children. We are proud of our achievements, but we need your help to help keep more children safe from drowning.
Hue Children Shelter
Hue Children’s Shelter is a home for children without parents or family that are not able to care for them.
Since 2006, we’ve provided education, career orientation, life skills training, university scholarships and recreational activities for children. Our aim is to provide the best possible support to enable children at Hue Children’s Shelter to have great childhoods and bright, independent futures.

Hue Help is a registered charity in England and Wales and has been licensed by the authorities to run charity programs in Vietnam.
